The plugin will monitor that iTunes device and update the sourcePlayStatus state so that it mirrors the iTunes device. To work around this missing functionality, we allow you to select an iTunes server Indigo device (that you've previously created) that represents the same iTunes server as the one your Airfoil instance is using as it's source. If you are using the iTunes Indigo plugin, you have this information, but it's in a different device which could make control page design a little tricky. So the plugin can't know whether iTunes is playing or paused. One oversight that there is in the Airfoil API is the ability to know the play state of the source. Leave the field empty if you don't wish for the plugin to store these images. SourceIcon.png - an icon representing the selected audio source in Airfoil. This was delivered in Airfoil 5 for Mac and Windows. Note: this plugin requires v1.5 or later of the Airfoil API. It works with both Airfoil 5 on Mac and Windows and can work with as many Airfoil instances as there are on your network. The latest major release, Airfoil v5, has a new API that enables a much more reliable and capable integration with Indigo. Many Indigo users use it in conjunction with Apple TVs, Airport Expresses, and other computers and iOS devices to create whole-home audio systems, all streaming from your Mac/Windows computer running iTunes or other music applications.

Get a proper double band router or at least check the channel trafic in ur area to select a channel signal that its not too crowded.Airfoil is a great application from Rogue Amoeba that allows you to stream sound from your Mac or Windows computer to any combination of Airplay Devices, bluetooth speakers, and Airfoil satellite clients (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux) - and it keeps it all in sync. Dont complain if u have a rubish modem/router from ur cheap internet provider. And about the people that says it drops ease guys. In my case theres no problem cuz my htpc (with xbmc/kodi) allows me to delay the sound for two seconds. Keep in mind theres a delay pf two secods (thats apple fault not airfoil guys) so take that in mind when u watch video. So now i have saved hundreds pf pounds for a program that worths the money.

And with this specific software for iphone i stream from my htpc to my iphone then i plug my earphones and it saved me money that i was planning to spend in a wireless earpads to connect to the tv. With my windows htpc i can stream to all my speakers so basically it saved me from getting a soundbar for my tv. I own macs and only one windows device as an htpc.

I have my house full of airplay speakers. (Like when u buy a nas and u download software for it to use on your phone.) And im extremly happy. This is a software that works as an extra conplement to the people like me who bought the software. Theres one review over there complaining that this software needs another software that you have to pay to make it work.
